IDK – Radioactive

The Maryland artist is back with a contagious single that will make you want to dance around and bang your head to the beat. The heavy kick and the scattered drums carry most of the song to impressive energy levels. IDK’s vocal performance is often filtered and mysterious, letting the production team do its job well at every corner.

Larry June & The Alchemist – 60 Days

Uncle Larry is back with his first release of 2023, and it doesn’t disappoint. Collaborating with The Alchemist for a smooth single about hard work and the pleasure of a luxurious life seems right. The beat is intoxicating and laid-back, letting Larry talk his regular shit with ease. The most surprising element of the single is the vocal performance of The Alchemist who raps a quick but cool verse in the second half of the 3-minute song.

SAINt JHN - Overstimulated

Accompanied by a slick artwork, the new single by SAINTt JHN is hard-hitting and another reminder that the Brooklyn artist must be listen-to. His production is always on-point, with moody synths and trap drums that will test your speakers the right way. He touches on a relevant subject during the hooks, telling the listener that he feels overstimulated and bored at the same time. That’s a feeling that seems to be more and more common within the public discussion, showing that sometimes too much is not enough.

Dreamville, JID & Lute - Ma Boy

For the March release of the third Creed movie, the Dreamville team is tasked with the responsibility of creating a soundtrack that matches the energy and charisma of the boxing universe led by Michael B. Jordan. “Ma Boy” is an easy banger that aims to boost your confidence level to the max with JID’s signature delivery and Lute’s cocky rhymes.

Zombie Juice – Hikari

Fitting for a love song, the Flatbush Zombies emcee releases this excellent single on Valentine’s Day. His melodic flow and precise writing skills are on par with his other solo song releases back in 2021. Speaking of a difficult relationship, Zombie Juice doesn’t have a problem with being vulnerable and it’s refreshing in a rap scene filled with enormous egos.

Conway-Super-Bowl-1677252926

Conway the Machine, Sauce Walka, Juicy J – Super Bowl

The Drumwork Music general is back with a packed banger in collaboration with Sauce Walka and Juicy J. Conway normally raps over grimy instrumentals, but “Super Bowl” features a trap beat with aggressive sub-bass and loud high hats. It’s fun to see him outside his comfort zone as he did on “KD” back in 2021. The guest artists do their thing, adding charisma and good punchlines to the mix.

Nate Husser – Did It B4

Violent and aggressive are terms that could be used to describe this new Nate Husser song. The Canadian artist raps rapidly on an 808-heavy beat that changes pace often, letting the energy slow down during the hook to pick back up during the verses. It’s a straight banger that fits well into the rest of his catalogue.
